Most Memorable Fishing Experience: "When I was in high school, my best friend, Mark Jones, and I entered a big tournament, where we were the youngest competitors. We finished in 2nd place, missing first by only 2 ounces. The older anglers never thought we had a chance. If we would have had Mizmo back then, there's no doubt we would havve won!"
Ross Watkins has been fishing competitively for nearly 15 years. Not overly impressive until you consider that he is only in his early 30's. He began his career while still in high school and is still going strong. Ross achieved the highlight of his still young career in August of 2003, finishing 8th in the Mississippi Bassmaster Central Open. Ross gained a great deal of confidence by finishing in the top 10 and hopes to use this confidence to produce more top finishes on the tour in the nera future. 1998 Central Alabama Solo Trail - Angler of the Year
