Most Memorable Fishing Experience: "I didn't catch it, but I netted it. In my first Wal-Mart FLW tournament event, my partner, David Walker, caught a 9 1/2 lber on about his third cast. I almost passed out when I saw it roll over on the top. I netted it and it ended up being the Big Bass for the year."

Pamela fished the Wal-Mart FLW Tour as a Co-Angler in 2001. She took 2002 off to have her second child & then, hit the trail again in 2003. The year off fueled the fire it seems, as Pam burned up the FLW trail her first year back. After a slow start, Pam used a two-day catch of 27-1 to lead the Lake Murray event after the first two days. Even more spectacular is the fact that her total was on just five fish, anchored by a 7-14 monster on Day 1. Wood finished the tournament in fifth place, one of the highest finishes by a female angler in the history of the Wal-Mart FLW Tour. Remarkably, this marked the first time that she had finished in the money on the tour. The trail then went to Beaver Lake where Pam used a good second day catch to finish in the money for the second time in as many tournaments. Wood used a different tactic to bring home the money in the next event. At the Kentucky Lake stop she caught a 6-6 largemouth on Day 2 to take the $500 big bass award.
" If there is one thing I learned on the trail in 2001 it is - Be Versitle! You must be able to adapt to changing conditions, locations, water color, temperature, etc. Rarely will you fish the same conditions two days in a row."
